Thanks to our Facebook friends, HOT ROD was able to fill a day visiting shops in and around Sacramento, California, taking in projects and getting a feel for the cars while meeting the people behind them. If you follow us on Facebook, you already know that Blue Collar Customs was getting a ’36 Ford ready for its SEMA debut in a shop reserved for vehicle assembly, but there was even more to see in the fabrication area. If you check out the photo above you can see two shoebox Ford projects, a ’38 Ford in the back, and a belly tank hanging from the rafters. We’ll show you those later.
Scott Mugford and his crew were working on this ’50 Chevy when HOT ROD stopped in. As you can see, the chop wasn’t so pretty when it rolled in, but some time on an English wheel had new sail panels ready to TIG weld in place. The Chevy is back with its owner now, and the guys at Blue Collar are on to their next project.
