DeWys Manufacturing Celebrates 35 Years of Business

DeWys Manufacturing, a west-Michigan based metal fabrication company, recently announced that it is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. The company was started in 1977 in a small red barn, where they specialized in fireplace inserts and small metal fabrication. Thirty-five years and stronger than ever, DeWys Manufacturing encompasses a complete Circle of Companies offering their customers a complete metal solution. The Circle of Companies is made up of Precision Sheet Metal, Machining, Powder Coating, Metal Stamping, and Product Assembly. DeWys Manufacturing has also invested in a new brand image that reinforces the Circle of Companies and stresses that we are not just a metal fabrication shop, but rather one company that can serve all your metal needs.

“When the company started 35 years ago in our parents’ barn outside our house we never imagined what it would become. Now we are in the process of adding a 24,000 square foot addition to our current 60,000 square foot location and we are constantly investing in new equipment and technology.” says Jon DeWys, president of DeWys Manufacturing. “The growth that we have experienced in just the last few years is incredible.” The addition is expected to be complete in April 2012.

DeWys Manufacturing has many festivities planned for this year to celebrate the milestone in company history, including an open house in September for customers and suppliers, as well as the family and friends of the DeWys team members.

DeWys Manufacturing is currently in the process of changing over to their new brand image, which features a dark metal brushed background with a metallic circle of arrows to represent the Circle of Companies. Jon comments, “We feel this look is both professional and representative of what we want to portray to our current and potential customers. It is often perceived that we only specialize in metal fabrication and we just want to make sure that we express that DeWys Manufacturing is your complete metal solutions company.”
