Fire Rings From General Welding Fabrcating Are Made With Steel

Elma, NY (PRWEB) May 16, 2012

Just in time for Summer, the Made In America Store brings durable, high quality steel fire rings manufactured by General Welding Fabricating to their store in Elma, New York. The fire rings come in three different styles and come with additional add-ons to serve a variety of purposes.

General Welding Fabricating manufactures the fire rings from 3/16” steel plates, bringing a durable, long lasting fire ring to consumers. The fire rings have a 30 inch diameter and are 11.5 inches high, weighing in at about 58 pounds. Quality was defiantly the drive to create these fire rings and consumers will see the time and effort was put in.

Consumers looking for a higher quality, durable fire ring can shop at http://www.MadeIn AmericaStore.com or call 716-652-4872 and speak to a Made In America Store representative.

The Made In America Store offers three different styles of cut outs in the fire ring. Styles range from Moons Stars, Fish hooks and “USA” Stars. Fire Rings from the Made In America Store come in Mild Steel and Stainless Steel options.

General Welding Fabricating also offers special add-ons to their fire rings. Add-ons include a base with feet that lift the fire ring off the ground. The base is great if consumers wish to keep the surface under the fire ring clean and not charred. Another add-on includes a grate with a swivel for cooking or keeping embers from jumping out of the fire ring. The grate itself can also double as an oven rack or even a smoke rack if covered. Each additional piece (Grate and the base) comes in both Mild Steel and Stainless Steel options.

Mark Andol, Owner of both the Made In America Store and General Welding Fabricating, stresses that quality is just as important as cost. Mark believes steel is the perfect candidate for material when it comes to fire rings, over the synthetic metals that get imported from overseas. General Welding Fabricating was the perfect candidate for manufacturing the steel fire rings, as the company has had a lot of experience with steel, manufacturing trailers and more out of the durable material.

Mark started back in his father’s garage fixing lawn mower engines and completing side projects. In 1989, Mark decided to expand his business and start General Welding Fabricating in a 5,000 square foot facility in East Aurora, New York. The East Aurora facility offered consumers welding, fabrication, truck equipment, utility trailer manufacturing and installation of snowplows.

In 1992, Mark had outgrown his East Aurora facility and had to expand. A four and half acre plot of land in Elma, New York was the home of his new location, where the facility is currently today. The 14,000 square foot facility was now ready to keep up with the demand.

Over the next 14 years, the company grew like wildfire. At this time, Mark and his crew expanded the company and grew to 60 employees and added three more locations.

As a snowplow distributor, General Welding Fabricating rose from a rank of 150th to 3rd in the country. Mark added over 16 sub-dealers throughout Western NY, and sold more than 600 plows annually.

In 2007, Mark again broke ground to fulfill his ultimate dream, a state of the art addition at the company’s Elma location. The facility was now 48,000 sq. ft. with a 46 ft. high ceiling height, six overhead cranes, and a 2,500 sq. ft. training room that was designed for flexibility, efficiency and growth. Today, General Welding has customers across the United States, and a few around the world.

The company has completed many projects, including welding for the oil drilling industry and the military sector. Balboa Engineering commissioned airplane positioners. However, General Welding’s top industrial project was fabrication of the Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) training systems for the US Air Force as a subcontractor for General Welding’s customer, Northrup Grumman.

Unfortunately, the unfair market started to catch up to Mark Andol and soon after he had lost a million dollar contract to a Chinese competitor, leaving Mark no choice but to layoff over a third of his work force. This was the catalyst that started the Made In America Store idea. In 2010, Mark opened the Made In America Store and brings both companies together to bring all American products.

Today, The Made In America Store and General Welding Fabricating work together to bring top quality, steel products.
