Ice Industries Completes Acquisition of Blue Chip Manufacturing

SYLVANIA, OH, May 29, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) –
An affiliate of Ice Industries, Inc. has completed its purchase of
the assets of Blue Chip Manufacturing Sales, LLC (“Blue Chip”),
located in Columbus, Ohio. The new entity will be known as Ice
Industries Columbus, Inc. and will continue to operate at Blue Chip’s
current location. Blue Chip is a metal fabrication, machining,
welding, kitting and assembly company focused on providing parts and
subcomponents to the U.S. Military. Blue Chip is both ISO 9001 and AS
9100 compliant and pursuing certification.

Blue Chip has an extensive capability and an experienced group of
employees who provide a variety of parts for the support of today’s
warfighter. Blue Chip’s equipment portfolio consists of numerous CNC
machining centers capable of tight tolerances as well as extensive
fabrication capabilities, robotic welding, DCMA-approved CARC
painting as well as RFID labeling and packaging.

“This facility and its people will provide additional fabrication
expertise to Ice and will allow us to provide a broader offering to
our new military customers as well as our existing customer base. As
a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (‘SDVOSB’), Ice can
provide a large offering of metal forming options to a market in need
of credible and capable manufacturers,” said Howard Ice, Chairman and
CEO, Ice Industries.

Ice Industries entered the military market in 2011 and has hired a
number of veterans to lead this effort including Maj. General (Ret.)
Matt Kambic, the former Assistant Adjutant General of the Ohio Army
National Guard. Ms. Tammy Rearic, who founded Blue Chip in 1993, will
remain in her operational role with her extensive knowledge of
government contracting and its unique requirements.

Ice has had success marketing their capabilities to both the
traditional defense logistics agencies and the prime military
contractors. “The feedback from existing and potential customers has
been tremendous. I’m excited by the prospects of what we can do with
this operation and the extensive manufacturing, engineering and
technical support that Ice brings to this combination,” said Gen.
Matt Kambic, the Director of Ice Industries Defense. “The contacts
we’ve made and the relationships we’ve built in the last year along
with the capabilities of Blue Chip and Ice will make for a strong
offering to a market which has recently seen the U.S. Congress
increase its vigilance in oversight urging that U.S. contractors meet
their SDVOSB content goals and Ice is a company they can count on.”

The newly formed entity will serve the military directly as well as
prime military contractors and Ice’s existing non-military customer
base.
